Scope
This policy applies to the YouDuShop website and platform. Where you use YouDuShop to run your own store, you are the controller of your customers' data and we handle it on your instructions — see the section below on merchant data.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, store name, contact details and the country or region you operate in.
- Billing information — plan selection, invoices and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored by us.
- Store and business data — products, images, prices, orders and customer records that you upload or that are generated by your store.
- Usage information — log data, device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed and actions taken, collected to operate and secure the service.
- Communications — messages you send to support or sales, and our replies.
How we use information
- To provide, operate and maintain the platform, including hosting your storefront and processing orders.
- To authenticate you, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service secure.
- To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
- To bill you, manage subscriptions and send service-related notices.
- To analyse how the platform is used so we can improve it.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and secure your session. Where analytics cookies are used, they are used to understand aggregate usage rather than to build advertising profiles. Merchant data
When you use YouDuShop to sell to your own customers, their data belongs to you. We process it to provide the service and do not use it for our own marketing. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for your own privacy notices to your customers.

Our infrastructure and service providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we put contractual safeguards in place for those transfers.
Retention
We keep account and store data for as long as your account is active. After closure, we retain what we need for legal, tax and dispute-resolution purposes, then delete or anonymise the rest on a scheduled basis.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted and logged, and administrative permissions are limited. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage strong, unique passwords and prompt reporting of anything suspicious.
Your rights
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Export your store, product, order and customer data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.

Children
The platform is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
